Cruise Vacation and some updates
Posted on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 2:43:00 AM with 0 talkings
We are going to a Cruise Vacation! This is my first time to go on a cruise vacation. So, I am feeling really excited about it!

Aydan celebrated his birthday in Melbourne last year. This year, he will be celebrating his birthday onboard! How exciting. Sometimes, I really feel he is very fortunate as compared to me. He took the plane at 4 years old. Been on the flight 3 times at the age of 6. I still remember my first plane ride was when I was 20 years old. Haha...

It's coming to the end of May already. 3 more months, the husband will be leaving Singapore on a one-way ticket. THREE! Time really flies. And in 5 months time, will be my turn. We are really leaving our homeland Singapore. Been planning on the packing on and off, it's a tough one. Trying to squeeze in every asset we have in Singapore with a total of 148kgs in total. More to come when we settle down in Melbourne.

I'll be actively updating my blog once I am over there. Meanwhile, I will be busy with the BFF's wedding in June. Hen's night and all...... Can't wait...

So many things, so little time.

I shall end this blog with 1 of my favorite pictures taken on my ROM/ Birthday.

Presenting to you....
The Chang family

Goodnight and God bless!

Honeymoon
Posted on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 9:59:00 PM with 0 talkings
We have decided that we will go somewhere in Asia as we will be migrating to Australia. So below are the list that I came up with....

Korea
Japan
Hong Kong
Taiwan
Thailand

So..... the destination would be............

*drum rolls*

.
.
.
.
.

TAIWAN!!

I'll 'explain' why. Korea, I've heard that it was rather inconvenient as many speaks korean there. Plus I'm not really a k-pop fan. Friends who went there mentioned it's kimchi EVERYDAY. I love kimchi. But having it every single day is kind of sickening right? Tho I can opt not to have it, but then.. Taiwan has more yummy food. So, Korea is out.

Japan. Firstly budget will be higher if we wanted to go Japan. And I am worried about the radiation still so, Japan is out.

Hong Kong. Been there before and Ugin says he can still clearly remember all the rides at Disneyland. Haha. Although I love Hong Kong, but this time, out too....

Thailand. Can go anytime so, we didn't want to go there for our honeymoon.

We wanted to go somewhere that both Ugin and me had never been there before. So Taiwan was one of them. And tickets are cheap too!! So, tickets booked. Accommodation still planning. Shall leave the honeymoon planning to the husband-to-be while I am planning for the wedding. (Tho almost all done already)

4 more months to go! Wedding and Honeymoon!!! EXCITED!!!!

Plannings, plannings and more plannings. Not only we have to plan for the migration, we got to plan for our wedding as well. I must say, I love planning stuff. Haha. And this is what I have planned so far. I'm just going to review the dates for now.....

Solemnization on 1st March 2013, Friday.
Wedding dinner on 2nd March 2013, Saturday.

I'll be having 3 bridesmaid and Ugin will have 3 brothers. So blessed to announce that all 3 bridesmaids of mine are children of God. See, I told you.... God's plan can never go wrong!

As of today, the programs for the Solemnization, Wedding dinner have been planned. Dresses for the bridesmaids have been ordered. Not gonna reveal the designs and theme until the date is nearer.

So many things to do now. Gowns and all. My bridal photoshoot will be in another 2 weeks time. Praying for a good weather since it is the wet period now. Almost done with the pre wedding shoot too.

And not forgetting, the wedding invitation is designed by ME!!! hehe... Have sent them for test printings and once everything is confirmed, wedding invitations should be ready by end November 2012.

Excited yet tired. :)

Update: Solemnization has been changed to 1st May 2013 due to some documentation problem. Oh well, good for you Hubby coz it's my birthday too! haha

Visa is APPROVED!!!

I will never forget this date.

On 7th November 2012, Ugin text me in the morning and said 'My visa is approved already'. The moment I saw that text, I closed my eyes and said a little prayers to thank God. I knew it was God answering my prayers. I HAVE to say my thanks!

When we returned from Melbourne in June 2012, Ugin submitted his application to ACS to have his skills assessment done. This is one of the requirements you have to fulfill before applying for the visa. And from what we heard from an agent friend of Eileen, she told us that the waiting time for ACS to respond is usually around 5 months. So we estimated, November we will be able to apply for the visa. And Ugin's visa according to the website states 12 months. So meaning if we apply in November, we were hoping to get the visa (hopefully) in November 2013. This was only our estimation and in order not to be overly disappointed, we were prepared to wait as we have heard of cases where the visas took more than 2 years and not approved yet.

So time passed and in September 2012, Ugin got a reply from ACS! We were surprised by the early response as we were expecting November! (Have to thank God for that!!) Ugin then applied for the visa online on 15 September 2012. So we estimated again... hopefully by August 2013 we can get our visa approved! So it was waiting time again. But again, we reminded ourselves not to be overly excited so if it doesn't get approved by that time, we will not be too disappointed. During these waiting periods, I remember the prayers I had was 'Dear God, if this is what You have in plan for us. Guide us and show us the route so clearly that we know this is Your plan. If time is not right, we will obey and wait till You have given us the green light to go ahead'. Amen.

Prayers answered and the green light lighted so bright we couldn't miss it. I love you Jesus. We were so very blessed by YOU. And in less than 2 months after Ugin submitted his visa application, it was approved. Yes! APPROVED. Meaning anytime now, Ugin can leave Singapore and work in Melbourne.

So right now, we got to start planning this BIG MOVE!

Pre-Wedding Shoot
Posted on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 9:41:00 PM with 0 talkings
I have so many talented friends around me. And Adi is one for them! She's a very creative person and is always full of creative ideas! So when I told her that I am thinking of doing a pre-wedding shoot, she offered to help right away! Thanks Adi!

And her hubby Adam, has the talent of taking very nice photographs! So Adi came up with a mood board. And days before the shoot, she roughly told me her idea of the whole pre-wedding shoot and what to expect that day.

Early in the morning on 3rd November 2012, at around 4am, I reached my make-up artist's place to do a trial run on my make up for the wedding day. I was terribly lack of sleep as I had class that ended at 10pm the day earlier and I was also working! Anyway, I was excited. Which girl don't like to be pampered right? Especially having her face done up by a professional! The whole trial ends at around 6.30am and we arrived at Adi's place around 7am.

We started the morning deciding what clothes to wear. As I have very limited selection and dull coloured clothes, I used Adi's. The first location was at Lalang field, Punggol. The weather was good. Not too hot and no rain. We had a few shots among the lalangs (mind you, it's not easy getting thru those plants!) Adi would show me the mood board she had prepared and asked me to act it out. It was very unnatural at first, but after a few tries, it got easier. It was fun! And we finished the shoots around 10am. As it was drizzling alittle by then, our next shoot was at Adi's place. (She has a very nice house!)

We took the main picture that we will be using for our invitation card first. We had a hard time getting Ugin to 'open' his eyes. Anyway, the photos turn out really nice! Will post them in a final complete post after the wedding in March. We also had several fun pictures like a photobooth!! When the sky cleared, we went down to the park with Adi's retro bicycle. Took a few more shots and we are done at location 2! (There's a total of 4 locations)

The next venue was at dempsy hill, Jones the Grocer. As it was a Saturday and a busy day for them, they told us that photography was not allowed. Though we managed to take a few while at our seats. With a little disappointment, we left and headed to the last location. It was rather unfortunate as it started pouring while we were on the way there. It was supposed to be at the Seletar Airbase. Anyway, the exact location that Adi had wanted was not there anymore. So we decided that we will end the day's shoot as the sky was also getting darker.

Although it didn't turn out exactly what we had wanted, I am blessed by God to have many nice pictures taken. Well, I could have a whole sunny day and none of the pictures turn out nice right? So, even tho it had rained, thank you Lord for blessing us that day with beautiful pictures! Amen.
